Overview
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (“CILT”) is the pre-eminent independent professional body for individuals associated with logistics, supply chains and all transport throughout their careers, existing to promote, encourage and co-ordinate the study of the science and art of transport in all its branches. It gained its royal charter in 1926 and has grown to become the central reference point for industry best practice, and its code of conduct is said to be the standard around the world.
