Assurance A number of our offices in Africa offer statutory financial audit services. We audit organisations of all sizes from micro enterprises, up to listed companies and multinationals. We are also experience in the audits of donor funded programmes and public sector reports. Aside to traditional financial audits, we also offer related capital market services for companies listed on local stock exchanges. In the wider field of assurance, procurement audits are becoming a requirement for many public sector bodies, particularly those involved in, or receiving, donor funding. Using the financial audit skills, together with our significant procurement and supply chain capacity, we are able to execute major procurement audit assignments. For NGOs and ethical investors, we are able to extend social auditing services, using established and recognised techniques and reporting requirements. Social Accounting can be defined as a process by which an organisation can monitor and evaluate its work, report honestly on its achievements (and failings) and improve its performance through more informed planning and better management. Social Auditing is the framework used to help organisations to engage with stakeholders and assess social and environmental impacts in order to improve performance and increase accountability.
